The Schuchman Deaf Documentary Center at Gallaudet University’s mission is to teach students documentary skills and create films or exhibitions about Deaf life. They received a “Challenge Grant” from National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), which acts as a federal agency supporting projects on history, language and research.
